Where do we go from here? July 13, 2022
I've been pondering in my mind, where do we go from here? There are so many uncertainties, so much corruption, so much hate, too much injustices, and so much disparity. Crime is on the all high, mass shootings are out of control and police brutality against the unharmed is murder. This world is a mess.
I have received a few letters asking how can we help our children that are in foster care? How do we protect children from child abuse, how do we protect children from an abuser on the Child Abuse registry when they leave one state and goes to another? What about children that are being sex trafficked? While political parties are fighting against one another, horrible things are happening to our children, people are being underrepresented and that is not how it should be.
What I'm simply saying is that we have to do better as people. We should look out for and help one another. I know it sounds too much like right for some. But if we don't come together and advocate for one another, what happens next? Can we all just get along for the common good of we the people and our democracy. I believe in unlimited possibilities and I know that some of you do as well. If we all just try to work together and call out the things that don't represent us, we could make some progress. We are better together. Let's try to work on acts of kindness, smile at one another, say hello, you never know what a person is going through. It won't hurt you to be nice. Live your life, laugh and be happy. Tomorrow is not promised to none of us. COVID already showed us that in 2020. I felt as though I was taking my last breath back then, this second time I did better. Please don't hold grudges, against your neighbor or loved one, forgive and move on. That's to help ease the stress and bitterness out of your life.
As you know, I'm not a politician, I am a public servant. I'm just trying to do my part to pave the way for change , building a better tomorrow beginning today.
Where do we go from here? It starts with us. If you see something say something, please don't be silent anymore. Let's save our children and lets save ourselves.
