Be the change you want to see.

I moved to Missouri in 2008 from my hometown of Minneapolis, MN with my three young children. I left my ex-husband who told me that my children and I would never make it without him and that I would never have more than he had. I am a very strong willed individual therefore, that hate did not stop me, it motivated me for the simple fact I know who I am and I walk by faith and not by sight.

Needless to say it was quite challenging being away from my family and  starting life over in a new state. I won't go into the whole story but I will say I worked very hard. I kept God first and family first. My children and I made it!  All three are young adults and doing well.  I finished my terminal degree right before the youngest graduated from high school.

I chased my dreams and I didn't let any obstacles, opposition, or naysayers detour me. I always told my children I was going to run for office because I wanted to do my part in being the change that I want to see in this world.  They can tell you more than anyone, I know no stranger and I'm the best advocate you can have if you are in need. I was the primary winner for Missouri's US House of Representatives, Sixth Congressional District in 2020.

I lost the General Election and was not going to run for office again because of the lack of support from the General Election. That was until January 6, 2021 happened.  I was very disheartened to see what I saw. It was unbelievable.  It was then that I knew to try again because I know, I am needed. I may not have all of the money and support, that is okay. I am rich in spirit and I'm going to give this race a great run.  I am enough!  I want to see restoration, reformation and reconciliation in this world.

America is supposed to be beautiful. All of this hate needs to stop against one another.  I want to see us unified, all people represented.  I have hope.  How about you?

I may not be popular and in the headlines, nevertheless, I have a conscious, I'm unbossed, unbought, and unbiased.  It would be my pleasure to represent you.
